"The whole world of vertical flight” – the new permanent exhibition

Themed “Live with technique and understand it – from emotion to information”, the interesting kind of knowledge transfer for laymen. This is the concept of the new permanent exhibition. Each room has a special topic where interested visitors can learn something about history and technique of rotary wing aircraft. The interactive presentation will support this effect.

Very important is the human being behind the technical development, too. The exhibition wants to show the men – or the women -, which created the rotary wing aircraft or which have flown them. So the visitor has the chance to identify with.

Entrance Fees

Adults: 9.50 €

Children/Teenager 6 to 16 years: 4.50 €

Children under 6: Admission free

Groups (more than 15 Persons): 1.00 € discount per head

Guided Tours Adults: 2.00 €, minimum 40.00 € (circa 1.5 hours)

Guided Tours Children/Teenager: 1.00 €, minimum 30.00 € (circa 1.5 hours)

Intensive Tours: 3.00 € per head/Teenager, minimum 50.00 € (maximum 10 Persons, circa 3 hours)

Helicopter Simulator: 10 minutes for 10.00 €

Guided Tours

A guided tour through the Hubschraubermuseum is available upon notice in advance. Former pilot instructors and aeromechanics of the “Internationales Hubschrauberausbildungszentrum” = “International Helicopter Training Center” (until 30th June 2015: “Heeresfliegerwaffenschule” = “German School of Army Aviation”) nearby will give you a detailed impression of the history and the “stories” of the helicopters, their constructors and pilots. Please allow 1.5 hours for the tour.

Groups of pupils and children are always welcome. A tour through the museum has crowned many a children’s birthday party. Groups of children should be accompanied by at least one adult. Thank you for your understanding.

If necessary, tours in English and French language are also possible.

Dogs

Sorry, dogs are not allowed in the Helicopter Museum.

* Group sizes larger than 15 persons: an additional 2.00 € per adult or 1.00 € for ages 6 to 16 will be charged.

The exhibition is barrier-free.
