Big day for the Bundeswehr (armed forces of the Federal Republic of Germany) and thus for the Army Aviation Corps and the Air Force. Today at exactly 14:48, the first H145M, 'Light Combat Helicopter', landed at Bückeburg/Achum airfield of the IHTC (International Helicopter Training Center) for the commissioning of this weapon system.
The Commander of the Helicopter Command, Brigadier General Dr. Volker Bauersachs, and our Inspector of the Army, Lieutenant General Alfons Mais, praised the rapid processing from order to today's commissioning of this weapon system, in less than a year. Thus, starting tomorrow, the training of pilots for this weapon system can begin.
